After walking past Popeye's twice tonight and seeing nothing but well-managed garbage bags like the ones above, I began to lose hope in this citizen's action blog. What is the point of a citizen's action blog with nothing to rage against? But I just received the following update from Undercover Popeye's Scout LK: "Just waded through soapy, putrified chicken water pouring out of Popeye's. The people must know!"
Damn straight, LK. Thanks for keeping an eye out. Popeye's, the people have spoken.
I'd like to point out that seeing well-managed garbage bags in the evening is not any sort of indication of how they will look in the morning. The wee hours are when havoc is wreaked, and yet the popeyes establishment is content to let rotting chicken corpses lie on the sidewalk all day. When the garbage men finally show up, they are forced to leave a trail of disgusting detritus in their wake.
